Making of "Rose Abstract"
In this tutorial I will explain how I create this picture step by step :
First you must Download Blender 2.70 ( Test Build ) , so you can use Cycle Volume Shaders .
- Delete the default point light .
- Start with the default Box , and subdivide it 4 times :
- Add a Displace Modifier and press New button under Texture , This will create a new cloud texture for the Displacement :
Play with its value as you want …
Now let’s create the Material , select the cube and go to the Node editor :
- Add a new material :
- Attach an emission shader to volume output , Add a Texture Coordinate Node take its “Generated” output and link it to a ColorRamp Node then attach it to the emission shader :
- Now start playing with ColorRamp :
- Put the Background color :
That enough :) Let’s prepare the Camera and start rendering :
This is my Rendering setup :
Rendering Done about 1-2 Minute :D
Finally , Let’s start composting …
Go to the Composite Node :
What I want to do is :
- Copy this image and scale it to decrease its opacity then add it to the background .
- I will Flip the image ( Of course you can rotate it before start rendering ) , Glow it with some Filters .
So Let’s start :
- The first goal :
- Let’s Scale the Image 3 times by add a scale node ( Shift+A → Distort → Scale ) .
- I will add a Rotate node to make it different ( Shift+A → Distort → Rotate ) .
- Finally add a Translate node to put it where I want ( Shift+A → Distort → Translate ) .
- Now let’s decrease the opacity by adding a Filter node ( Shift + A → Filter → Filter ) then select Laplace :
- Now add a RGB Curve to make its color lighter :
The first goal done … lets move to the second …
- The second goal :
- First I will flip the image so the white color be upward :
- Add a Kirsch Filter ( Shift + A → Filter → Filter ) then select Kirsch , Play with its value until you are satisfy :
- Finally Add RGB Curves :
Now add a Mix Color Node to add it to the Background …
Now it's Done :)
Hope you like it ...
